Forensic Biologist Supervisor (IRC6753)

Salary: $5,754.26 monthly
Starting salary is based on education and experience.

Duties: Oversees and directs the daily operations of the Unit including staff training and development; quality control and quality assurance; casework management; and instrument development, implementation and validation. Evaluates analytical procedures and recommends emerging technology and industry standard changes that impact budgetary planning initiatives. Assists with budget development. Oversees on-call emergency services.

Requirements: Requires a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, or a related area of biology or chemistry, or in a related field of study. A minimum of 12 credit hours of graduate or undergraduate coursework in biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, and statistics and/or population genetics. Three (3) years of work experience in DNA laboratory experience in molecular biology required. Experience in laboratory management preferred. Must be accepted by the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.
