Latent Print Examiner
City of Henderson, Nevada



Salary: $28.26 - $44.51 Hourly

Final Filing Date: November 18, 2009, 03:00 p.m. PST

Duties: Under general supervision, conducts scientific examination and comparisons of latent and inked fingerprints, processes physical evidence; and performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in criminalistics, criminal justice, forensics, physical science, or closely related field, and four (4) years experience conducting latent print and inked fingerprint comparisons, and processing and analyzing evidence for the recovery of fingerprints; OR an equivalent combination of closely related training and experience.

Desired:

Certification as a Latent Print Examiner through the International Association for Identification.

Special Requirements, Licenses and Certificates:

Must possess a valid driver's license from the state of residence at the time of appointment and maintain a satisfactory driving record. Must obtain NCIC certification during the initial training period, and maintain NCIC certification throughout the course of employment.
