Investigator/Autopsy Technician
District Twenty Medical Examiner, Napels, FL
Salary: $30,000 - $34,000 (depending on experience)

Duties:
- Will carry out all investigation functions and clerical duties
- Assist the pathologist with autopsies from Monday through Friday, is expected to work two weekends per month and every other holiday, and take evening calls from home in order to accept or decline jurisdiction of any reported case.
- Is required to prepare the autopsy suite and the body for the autopsy, take x-rays when needed and clean the autopsy area after the autopsy.
- Is responsible for record keeping, label, store and maintain proper chain of evidence of all specimens, and perform other morgue duties, as needed.
- MUST be able to move a deceased person that weighs up to 240 pounds unassisted.
- Must be honest, trustworthy, reliable, compassionate for the family of the deceased, hard-working, well-groomed, polite, flexible and well-organized.
- Able to work under pressure without losing composure.
- Read and write English proficiently and must be computer literate.
Requirements: The applicant MUST HAVE ONE YEAR EXPERIENCE assisting with autopsies at a Medical Examiner's office, pathology laboratory, or performing animal necropsies. If you do not have the required experience, your resume may be rejected without notification.
Have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate.
