Duties:

The Town of Castle Rock Police Department is currently recruiting for a highly motivated individual with exceptional customer service skills who is interested in becoming a Police Media Technician with a premiere law enforcement organization in Colorado. Under general supervision of the Records Supervisor, this position provides complete case files of discoverable materials to the District Attorney's Office and duplicates digital media as requested, in accordance with the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA) and Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act (CCJRA). Performs duties in a manner consistent with the stated values of the organization.

Requirements:

Qualifications generally include a High School Diploma or GED supplemented by college level course work or vocational training in criminal justice, media technology, or a related field; or 1 year experience in creating case files of discoverable materials as they relate to state traffic and criminal charges; or 1 year experience in related digital media duplication work; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. A valid Colorado Driver's License is preferred for traveling to court and hearings. Successful candidate must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check, polygraph and psychological exam prior to commencing employment.
