CGI Federal, Government Secure solutions is seeking a Forensic Analyst to support our Cyber Operations Client at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Duties:

  • Conducts incident response activities as directed in order to identify root cause of compromise
  • Examines compromised computers, servers and networks
  • Supports mitigation and remediation activities to isolate threats and bring systems back into operation
  • Provides technical reports of ongoing or completed investigations

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years of experience working in computer forensics, incident response, and information security.
  • Requires proficiency with forensic practices and procedures and evidence handling.
  • Must possess proficiency in conducting live analysis on networks, and multiple platforms.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of all operating systems, information systems security, network architectures, general database concepts, document management; hardware and software components, electronic mail systems, and computer forensic tools such as Guidance Software EnCaseĀ® or Access Data Forensics Tool Kit.
  • Must have very good working knowledge of cyber threat technical capabilities
  • Must have good oral and written communications skills to clearly and concisely document cyber security incident details
  • Following Certifications:
    • Certified Ethical Hacker
    • Security +
Desired Certifications:
  • GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA)
  • DCITA Digital Media Collector (DMC)
  • Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE)
  • Security assessments experience
