Salary: $17.92 - $20.11 Hourly

Under the supervision of the Property/ Evidence Supervisor, this position handles sensitive information and is responsible for the care, custody and control of all property and evidence received by the Melbourne Police Department. Duties include, security over, storage of, and transport of evidence and illegal substance such as firearms, narcotics, cash, jewelry and biohazardous materials. The employee performs routine clerical work involving a high level of confidentiality, which is reviewed through observation and written reports for adherence to established guidelines, policies and procedures. The nature of this position requires occasional work during evening and weekend hours. Employee must be bondable.
