There is one Property Clerk vacancy in the St. Paul Police Department. The eligible list created for this position will be used to fill future full-time, part-time, and seasonal/on call vacancies as they become available.

Duties

Here's what you can expect to do in this role:

Perform intermediate-level clerical and outside manual work involving the receipt, disposition, and storage of evidence or property.
Receive, log, categorize, and store property and evidence impounded by police personnel.
Release property and evidence to properly-identified claimants and maintain security of the work area.
Collect fees, issue receipts and change, and maintain records of these financial transactions.
Take and resolve complaints involved in the storage of evidence and property or refers the matter to higher-level personnel. Perform related duties as required.

Earn a Degree in Crime Scene Investigation, Forensic Science, or Computer Forensics

Requirements

Position Requirements

A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate.
Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License, or equivalent out-of-state driver's license.
