Duties

Here's what you can expect to do in this role:
  • Perform intermediate-level clerical and outside manual work involving the receipt, disposition, and storage of evidence or property.
  • Receive, log, categorize, and store property and evidence impounded by police personnel.
  • Release property and evidence to properly-identified claimants and maintain security of the work area.
  • Collect fees, issue receipts and change, and maintain records of these financial transactions.
  • Take and resolve complaints involved in the storage of evidence and property or refers the matter to higher-level personnel. Perform related duties as required.

 Earn a Degree in Crime Scene Investigation, Forensic Science, or Computer Forensics

Requirements

Position Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License, or equivalent out-of-state driver's license.
